The retail price for these are about $400. to $450. These prices are for the regular Adex valves, not the chrome of the Super Duty.
Black Magic Hydraulic in Las Vegas has been rumored to sell them for $375.00 You'll need to make sure these are the Adex and not a house brand.
Some hydraulic shops are selling a type of valve that appears to look like the Adex. They retail for approx. $250.
MORE DETAILS ARE NEEDED...
More later on the ebay Adel/Adex clone. CONT.[/size]

There is a guy named AL CRANE who makes awfull KNOCK OFF PRODUCTS. ALWAYS BUY FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY OR PERSON...
A brand new ADEX will be in EXCELLENT CONDITION with out one scratch...

Just another look at the valve, with a slow and aircraft check valve.

is it possilbe to put cheaper substanderd quality internals inside a Adex body, in order to make it appear like a real Adex??? Or are there any ways in which real ones can be faked?? I am aware of the markings such as part no's cure and assemb dates but these can be faked. If I take apart the dump will the internals give me the answer???

See the wire with the lead stamp on it, thats is an excellent way to tell if its been taken apart before. NEVER TAKE IT APART or you'll void warranty.
The complete dump will be made as a fake... down to the stamps. BUT, the machining on even the body will be noticable. ADEX's are absolute flawless when new..
Post a pic of it and We'll see if there is anything noticable..

got em, they look good. all stamps etc and printed cure dates. But dont the superduty's have a vented cap on the solinoid? Or do they just have the two holes drilled through the body???

I have a question, my Adex dumps have a assembly date of JAN 1956 I noticed yours have an assembly date of FEB 1956.. what other assembly dates did Andy from Adex put on the dumps??
My next question is about the serial numbers. they have a three digit number then a letter. I assume that they are made in batches of 001-999 right?? once the finish that batch they go on to a new letter it looks like. but it looks like its in no particular order though becauser mine have the letter "B" at the end of the serial and I think mine a newer than yours.
If we knew what letters have been used I bet that we can figure out how many Adex's have been made so far.
Also do the serial numbers give away when the dump was really made?

From what I understand, all the regular Adex all look the same and all have the same markings. I don't own a superduty so I can't say about those markings.
On your last two questions, I'm in the dark. But I know who does know... I got to give Andy a call and see if he can shed some light on this. I wonder if he's still taking to me since I never return anybodys calls

i was asking around about the 2 prongs that are on the adex when you hook it up and was told that only on the super duty adex is that both prongs are hooked up,but i was wondering if this is true then isnt both wires being grounded??? i was trying to wire up my adex when i pushed the prongs down to far so when we opened it up to fix it we noticed that it looked like both prongs went to a ground????please explain if both got to be grounded or how to wire it back...dont want to ruin that expensive dump... thanks alot...
