This is going to take time to finish, as I've started it before everything is ready.

This appears to be one of the first designs. I bought this about eight months ago and it sat in the garage ever since. One day I noticed it was rusting, so I soaked it in oil.

When I purchased it, Ron at Black Magic told me he was getting this piston ready. So it appears I bought it before all the need work was taken care of.

They needed to be bolted on to the block, as I was torquing down the pump heads bolts I noticed the bolts were going in too tight or not all the way. I pulled the pump head (the seal for the pump head stayed stuck in the block. Hmm... not a real problem).

After taking the pump head back off
Here we'll see that the thread holes still needed to be cleaned up and that a couple of holes where not that deep. I tried to get a little deeper and used lock washers to finish up.

Putting it all together I use lots of white grease, here on the threads, pump housing, large o-ring and then inside right next to the piston.
