Story goes these were forklift valves and rated at 2,000PSI Years ago Waterman came out as thee lowrider valve. Trouble was, these valves were always sticking.
So the button on top came in handy as this was the manual relief.
These valves were OK for going up and down, but if you wanted to hop, you'd avoid these.
Below are just other types of Watermans.

* SAE 8 Pressure and Return ports
* SAE 6 - C 1 and C 2 ports
Description; If pressure is applied to P port there is no flow out of R port.
