Title: Leaks from motor areas Post by: Hydros on March 04, 2004, 03:10:11 AM If you find fluid around the outside of your block and motor areas, check out the pump seal.
Oil leaking into the motor will cause damage. A fix to help prevent oil from entering the motor erea is to allow the oil to by-pass and drip down away from the motor. This is an older Stone block, but I hope you get the idea. The blue lines represent the passages ways as they are drilled through the block. This is also done to some automotive parts. I also notice this appears to be done on some other hydraulic pumps, but the leak is not external. I believe it is allowed to flow back into the intake of the pump. |
