There is a guy named AL CRANE who makes awfull KNOCK OFF PRODUCTS.  ALWAYS BUY FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY OR PERSON...

A brand new ADEX will be in EXCELLENT CONDITION with out one scratch...

I will add some pics later but here is the instructions in my words with out pics..

HOW SOLENOID BANKS WORK

Solenoids are one of those things you need to keep an eye on.  Ford Starter Solenoids are the most commonly used.  FORD SW-3 are the most reccommended for this application or VICTORY LAP 19-6250-6 (grey in color)

SOLENOIDS are Gateways that let power pass from your batteries to your PUMP MOTORS. Each one must CLOSE AND OPEN in sequence to work properly.  WHEN ALL ARE CLOSED AT THE SAME TIME, your pumps will run becasue the power can now pass from your batteries to your pump motors.  If one solenoid in a bank is stuck open when you hit the switch and close the other two the power CANNOT pass to your motors, therefor your pumps will not spin and you will hear a CLICK-CLICK sound.  THE CLICKING is the mechanical part of your other solenoids moving when you are hitting the switch.  When ONE SOLENOID in your bank is STUCK CLOSED your pump will run fine as the other two can stop the power from getting to your pumps.

ITS WHEN ALL THREE ARE STUCK CLOSED THAT you are running to your QUICK DISCONNECT to stop the pumps from spinning.

TESTING THEM WITH A CONTINUITY TESTER (OR LIGHT BULB)

1 - Disconnect the cable from your battery to your solenoid bank that is in question.
2 - Make sure your QUICK DISCONNECT GROUND is plugged in and your switches work this bank.
3 - Start at the first solenoid, probe on either side of a solenoid, have a friend hit the switch that activates this bank.  If the tester beeps or the light lights up only when the switch is held on, the solenoid is good.  if the beep stays on regardless on the switch the solenoid is stuck CLOSED, if the light wont light up nor the tester beep regardless of the switching, the SOLENOID IS STUCK OPEN. and is bad

Do this to each solenoid in the bank and REPLACE ALL BAD SOLENOIDS NOW!!!!

VISUAL AID TO FOLLOW.

15  External Leaks / Leaks from Pump areas / JIC fittings. on: March 21, 2004, 01:33:09 AM
A VERY COMMON problem with these fittings are the're are a DOZEN companies making cheap know-off versions...   If the're is a BURR or a wrong DEGREE FACE (very common in cheap fittings..)  Take a SMAL COPPER WASHER (small enough to fit into your JIC FEMALE END) and use it as a seal.  This washer of course is flat and your JIC is TAPERED, but it will bend easily and seal your leakiy fittings.

REMEMBER;

Never over tighten JIC fittings, NOR use teflon tape.  A two finger pull is MORE than enough torge to stop leaks...  any more is POINTLESS and your detroying your fittings...

20  Trouble Shooting / Car goes up too slow / one problem on: March 18, 2004, 04:59:07 PM
if the car goes up to slow, INCREASE VOLTAGE..

If this is already done,
you have a bent or binding cylinder or as previously stated, other components failing or not working efficiently..
21  Trouble Shooting / Car will not go down (dump) / CAR WONT DUMP on: March 18, 2004, 04:57:25 PM

22  Trouble Shooting / Car will not go down (dump) / CAR WONT DUMP on: March 18, 2004, 08:39:27 AM
Do you have your dumps hooked up at 24 volts???

although a dump can work at 12 volts it is at its peak performance at 24 volts.

Is the dump grounded properly??

Is the dump PRESSURE LOCKED? meaning you have extended your cylinder so far and now the spring is compressing, holding a pressure against the dump which is stopping the dump from activating or BINDING THE DUMPS components.

Are your switches hooked up properly??

Is your slow down valve closed??

All good possible instances for this problem..

First thing to do is short out the dump to see if that works, take the power wire and tap it against the 24volt post in your battery bank..  WATCH YOUR HEAD IF YOUR LEANING INTO THE TRUNK, IT REALLY HURTS WHEN THE TRUNK LID SMOKES YOU IN THE HEAD!!!!

24  Trouble Shooting / Car does not stay up / CAR LIFTS BUT WILL NOT STAY LIFTED on: March 16, 2004, 12:43:22 PM
Do you have a puddle of oil anywhere???  COULD BE A BLOWN SEAL

Does it come down fast or slow???  CHECK VALVE STUCK OPEN, OR EVEN MISSING..  DUMP COULD BE STUCK OPEN..

Try closing your SLOWDOWN VALVES, see if that does anything for you....

MORE TO COME........
25  Trouble Shooting / How to Trouble Shoot -READ FIRST / Different ways to trouble shoot on: March 16, 2004, 12:40:11 PM
as for hydraulics...

break it down..

Is this problem ELECTRICAL or MECHANICAL??

Example,
If your solenoids don't even make a noise when you hit the switch then you have an electrical problem.  if you hit the switch and the pump fired then got jamed, yet can still dump, you have a mechanical problem...

1 one major problem over the net. books or talking is any similar situation can be more than 1 answer.

In my book I have a HUGE Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS SECTION that took me quite some time to complete.  It covers IN MY EYES ALMOST everything that could happen.  I may have missed a few things but if you have a problem, try to re-inact the situation, the noises that you heard, the aftermath.  Then look in the book and find something similar to your problem...

Also search this website.  Eventually everything will be covered.   B)
