Title: Home made Monster pump
Post by: Hydros on June 27, 2004, 07:30:03 PM
The Casappa gears are three gear heads in one. Bolted to a 24 VDC motor (motor is for a sissor lift). The motor is not made for high speed and torque. I think it's a low speed high toque. But I thought I'd build it up anyways and see how it would work. It's got that "Retro" look.

Only one check valve for now, I'll have three check valves later and the intake will go to one single tank.

I've got to figure out a way to hook up the Adex, but I'm thinking for that "Retro" look, I might go with a old large industrial valve.  I might even use a manifold valve. Or, I might have all three ports going into a block and then T'd to a large dump valve.

I like that old industrial look, as well as the aircraft. But I bet no one will have a setup like this.  Remember those old films that appear to be in the future, something like that.

That's a number 11 next to it.

You know I was just looking at this a few days back.  See that small black adaptor on the smaller motor, I think I can take that plate and gears and put them on this motor:

That is CRAAAA-E-ZY!! :)
Did you ever made it work? It would be intresting to see what it can do.
Whats a scissor lift anyway?

Heck, wish I had the time. Never made it,

I have been calling it the wrong name:  mobile hydraulic scissor lift appears to be the correct name.

Thinkin about it, thaqt might have been an alternative to a manifold?? obviously speed wasnt an issue, but i'd like to know why.
